Jacob Schepp

Jacob D. Schepp earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, with minors in Psychology and Legal Studies, from the University of North Dakota . Through an accelerated law program, he began his legal studies at UND a year early and went on to earn his Juris Doctor, cum laude.
While in law school, Mr. Schepp was involved in several student organizations including the Student Bar Association, the Criminal Justice Association, and the Federalist Society. As a student, he also gained valuable courtroom and prosecutorial experience as an extern with the City of Fargo and the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he handled numerous misdemeanor bench trials and drafted an appellate brief submitted to the North Dakota Supreme Court.
After graduating, Mr. Schepp relocated to Illinois and joined LaLuzerne & Smith, Ltd. as a law clerk while awaiting bar admission. Since becoming a licensed attorney in November 2025, Mr. Schepp has developed substantial experience in municipal prosecution through daily courtroom appearance. He represents ten municipalities through regular branch court appearances, is actively involved in the firm’s significant DUI and traffic caseload and routinely litigates motion hearings and bench trials.
